Timmermans is a shareholder of Hartig Rhodes Hoge & Lekisch, PC. His practice focuses on real estate transactions and litigation, including title insurance law. Mr. Timmermans has represented both sellers, buyers and lenders in real estate transactions and litigation. His real estate practice includes title disputes and litigation, landlord/tenant law, including commercial leasing, judicial and nonjudicial foreclosures, and the preparation of real estate documentation. A substantial part of Mr. Timmermans’ real estate practice involves title insurance law. He represents numerous national title insurance companies, as well as many local title insurance agencies concerning title insurance/escrow litigation and the preparation of real estate documentation. Mr. Timmermans has also practiced extensively in the business and commercial law area. His practice in these areas includes negotiation and documentation of business transactions, the formation of new businesses, business and contract litigation, creditor’s rights, bankruptcy and loan collection claims. Mr. Timmermans also has substantial experience in the area of employment law, including cases in federal and state court and before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Alaska State Human Rights Commission, the State Department of Labor, and the Anchorage Equal Rights Commission involving wrongful termination, sexual harassment discrimination and wage and hour. Clients he has recently represented include numerous title insurance companies, banks, real estate brokers, mortgage companies, homeowner associations, and numerous other businesses. |
